Meet The Team At Shine Salon In Carolina Beach

Renee Perry here!  Five years  ago I made the move from Maryland to Wilmington.  It's been quite a journey. Since 2011 , I've been taking trips to CB three times a year and absolutely love the vibe. I have worked at Sea Shine Salon for 5 year bringing my experience of 27 years in the industry. 

I'm from Bethesda MD, where I kick-started my career afrer receiving top -notch training at  Graham Webb International  Academy Of Hair.  After that, I relocated to Annapolis and worked at David Alexander's Salon & Spa. I continue to expand my skills  by traveling to NY City for certifications from Bumble Bumble University and I  specialize in coloring & highlightin and  take pride in my work. 

 Hi, I’m Calleen. I’ve been a North Carolina resident since 1992, spending over 20 years in the Black Mountain and Asheville area before finding my way to Carolina Beach, where I now live with my beautiful daughter, Madeline, and our two dogs, Sunny Boy and Nellie. This is truly the place I love and belong—I can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. I’ve been doing hair since 2008, but the salon world has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in salons, learning the craft and culture firsthand from my mother and grandmother, both hairstylists and salon owners. Hair is more than a job to me—it’s a passion. I’m an easygoing, down-to-earth stylist and a great listener who genuinely loves making clients feel happy, confident, and cared for. I specialize in women’s haircuts, color, and highlights, and I stay inspired by keeping up with new trends and always learning something new. I thrive in a salon environment and love collaborating and bouncing ideas off fellow stylists. When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me traveling, soaking up the beach, riding my bike, or getting lost in a good book. 

Originally from Charlotte, Lacy Ford moved to Carolina Beach in 2010. For over 10 years she has pursued her dream of creating art and helping others express themselves through their hair. Lacy thrives on variety and offers a wide range of services. She loves curly hair, layered cuts, creating lived in color, rich burnettes, vivid reds, soft blondes, custom highlights, Keratin Blowout services along with men cuts, color and beard trims. Whether you’re aiming for a bold new look or a subtle change, she is a skilled listener and will be there to help you achieve the perfect look. When it comes to customizing services, it’s all about setting hair goals through consultation. Lacy looks to educate clients on how to care for their hair and have that “fresh out the salon” look at home. Let’s transform your hair together!

When Lacy isn’t busy behind the chair, you can catch her at the theater, the beach, the driving range, volunteering in the community, supporting local businesses and being a selflessly devoted mom to her teenage daughter.
